Celeste

Celeste is a delightful 1-year-old female Chihuahua who is a true survivor, looking for a patient and loving forever home. Despite a challenging start in a hoarding case with 50 other dogs in Texas, Celeste is blossoming every single day and making incredible progress. She currently weighs 8 lbs. Initially, Celeste can be a bit cautious around new people, but once she feels safe and secure, she transforms into the most affectionate lap dog you could ask for! Her favorite place is right by her human's side, or even better, on their lap, where she soaks up all the attention. Her sweet face and adorable "smile" are sure to bring joy to her forever family every day.

Ideal Home

Celeste thrives in a quiet and patient home environment where her humans understand shy dogs and are willing to give her the time she needs to continue to grow. Because sudden movements and loud environments can be startling for her, a home without small children would be ideal. She also takes comfort in the presence of other dogs, so a home with at least one canine sibling would be perfect for her.

Celeste is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Celeste is house-trained. She finds comfort in following the lead of other dogs, which is a great asset as she gains confidence. As she continues to explore, she may engage in quiet observation or snuggle with her canine companions, but having other dogs around remains a source of comfort for her.
