We think Coco is a stunning German Shepherd mix, but as with all rescue royalty, her exact DNA is a bit of a mystery! She is 50 pounds of pure, silver sable perfection. She's that just-right size, substantial enough for big bear hugs and sturdy hikes, but still convinced she can fit into your lap like a tiny puppy. She's a big girl with an even bigger heart, wrapped in a coat that shimmers like a sunset.
Ideal Home
Coco would thrive with an active family who is familiar with the Shepherd breed and understands their loyal, intelligent nature. Because she has a classic, vocal Shepherd personality (she likes to tell you all about her day!), she's looking for a house rather than an apartment setting.
Ongoing Health
Coco is a healthy girl who has received all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She will also receive a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative and a heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Coco is smart and eager to learn, especially if there's food involved! She is a total foodie who will work overtime for a snack! She is a leash-walking pro and is ready to be your favorite co-pilot for car rides. When it comes to other dogs, Coco is still learning the ropes of being part of the pack. She is currently learning how to socialize and is making great progress every day. She isn't quite sure what toys or zoomies are yet but seems very interested in squeaky toy sounds. Coco is a polite girl who is very respectful of boundaries. She is ready to be your one and only star, but if you already have a pup at home, she would be a great match for a calm, confident canine companion who can show her the ropes and share a sunny spot in the grass. Coco is located in Texas and can be transported to a variety of drop-off locations, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Transport to Canada includes pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
