Meet Jessi!
Jessi is a little over a year old and somehow manages to be equal parts playful adventure buddy and unbelievably gentle sweetheart. At around 38 pounds, she's the perfect size for walks, couch snuggles, backyard play sessions, and everything in between.
Her foster describes her as one of the sweetest, kindest, most gentle dogs they've met in a long time-and it's easy to see why. Jessi is incredibly tolerant and trusting. She'll let you touch every part of her body, gently take treats, happily accept affection, and even offer little kisses just because. She has a soft, easygoing nature that makes people fall in love with her quickly.
Jessi loves being outside. Whether she's going for a walk, running around, or simply stretching out in the grass near her people, she's happiest when she gets to enjoy the world with someone she loves. She does fantastic on leash and makes a wonderful walking companion. She also enjoys toys and chewing appropriate dog items and still has all the fun, curious energy you'd expect from a young dog.
She's wonderful with kids of all ages and has done great with other dogs of every size-her main goal is usually convincing them to play with her. She's curious about cats, squirrels, and chipmunks, but she has not been formally cat tested, so a thoughtful introduction process would be important if there are cats in the home.
Jessi is also impressively easygoing in everyday life. Fireworks, thunder, and loud noises don't seem to bother her much. She's very quiet overall-in a full week of foster care she's only barked a handful of times! Instead, she'll give a tiny whine or soft little noise if she needs your attention.
She sleeps quietly in her kennel all night and rests comfortably there while her people are at work. Potty training is going really well, and with consistency, routine, and a little patience as she settles in, she continues to build great habits.
Jessi is the kind of dog who feels easy to love. She's playful without being wild, affectionate without being demanding, and gentle in a way that makes you want to protect her forever. She's ready to find her permanent home, her favorite people, and a place where she can finally settle in and be loved right back.
