Meet Hoot! This fun-loving, active young pup was born in December 2024 and is looking for a family to share his adventures with. Hoot thrives on outdoor time and play sessions, and he'd be happiest with a canine buddy to romp around with. He settles in nicely at night and has even earned free roam privileges in his foster home, showing how much he's learned about being a good boy! He was found abandoned but is now discovering the joys of safety, stability, and love, and he's eager to find a forever family to continue his journey.
Ideal Home
Hoot would do best in a home with a playful canine companion, as he loves having another dog to play with. He also enjoys secure outdoor space, so a fenced yard is ideal. While he's okay with cats, he can be a bit curious. He can be a little shy and skittish if approached too quickly, so a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time and consistency is key. Continued leash or harness use in public will help him feel safe as he gains confidence.
Ongoing Health
Hoot is up-to-date on all vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. He has also tested negative for heartworm and is current on flea and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed by a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption.
Training & Support
Hoot is crate trained and accident-free in his foster home. He walks well on a leash and is beginning basic obedience training. He can be slightly stand-offish while building trust, so continued patience and consistency will help him blossom.

Transportation
Hoot is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas. Transport is available to a predetermined location agreed upon by Wags. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport.
