Onyx is a handsome boy with a mysterious past, but that hasn't stopped him from being an eager-to-please companion. He's still learning to trust, which means he takes his time getting to know new people and other dogs. Once he feels safe and comfortable, however, he reveals an incredibly loyal and loving personality. Onyx enjoys his daily walks, politely sits for his leash, and has excellent house manners. He's already mastered several commands like "sit," "shake," "leave it," "watch," "down," "come," and "stay." He's a gentle soul, carefully taking treats and happily chewing on bones or his favorite toys. Watching Onyx blossom and discover the joys of being a dog has been a rewarding experience, and he's ready to find a family who will continue to nurture his confidence and celebrate his progress.
Ideal Home
Onyx would thrive in a home where he can be the only dog, soaking up all the attention. If there's another dog in the home, slow and thoughtful introductions will be key to help him feel safe. He would also do best in a home without young children, as he is still building his confidence. He needs a patient and understanding family who will allow him to build trust at his own pace and celebrate his successes.
Ongoing Health
Onyx is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns mentioned.
