Lovey’s name couldn’t be more fitting for this sweet girl. 💕 At just 2–3 years old, Lovey has already been through more than any dog ever should. She was found tied to a tree with no food or water, severely underweight and trying to care for her two puppies while she herself was starving. Thankfully, she and her babies were surrendered so they could get the help they desperately needed.
Lovey was rushed to our vet where she spent time recovering, gaining weight, and finally receiving the care she had been denied for so long. Once she was healthy enough, she was spayed and continued her journey back to health. And what a transformation it has been.
Today, Lovey is thriving where the staff absolutely adore her. For the first time in her life, she’s getting to just be a dog—soaking up all the pets, belly rubs, and attention she can get. Despite everything she’s been through, Lovey is incredibly affectionate and people-loving. She truly lives up to her name and is happiest when she’s close to her humans. We believe Lovey may be dog-friendly, and she’ll be formally dog tested soon. What we already know for sure is that she has a huge heart and so much love left to give.
