Boone

Boone is a 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male dog. He's a gentle soul with a unique background, having once been an excellent houseguest to a wildlife rescuer, coexisting peacefully with raccoons, opossums, squirrels, and even pot-bellied pigs! Though his original owner was found, they chose not to bring him home, making Boone ready for a loving family. He's a quiet, easygoing boy who asks for very little, making him a wonderfully low-maintenance companion. Boone is currently undergoing the "slow kill" method for heartworm treatment and has been a total gentleman at public events, getting along beautifully with everyone he meets.

Boone would thrive in a relaxed household where he can be a calm presence. He enjoys casual, leisurely walks.

Training & Support

Boone is housetrained and good on leash. His gentle nature and previous experience living with various animals suggest he'll adapt well to a new home with positive reinforcement.
