TEDDY

Teddy is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. His DNA test shows him to be a mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. When he was rescued, he was a matted mess and had to be shaved down. His coat has now grown back, and he's a very handsome boy who will require regular grooming. Teddy also had mature cataracts in both eyes, but he underwent successful cataract surgery and is now seeing perfectly after a few months of post-operative eye medication. He absolutely loves being a lap dog and will enthusiastically climb onto his foster's lap. Teddy gets along with most other dogs, but he's not a fan of very active dogs who get in his face, and we feel he would do best as an only dog or with a calm, older canine companion. He is fairly well house-trained, though not perfect. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides. Teddy is sure to be a wonderful companion for someone!

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home where he can be a cherished lap dog. He is looking for a home without children under the age of 8 years, and experienced dog owners only. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home or have a quiet, older companion dog.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now seeing well. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He does well on a leash.
