Meet Grover Chillington!
Grover's story began in a high-kill shelter in Houston, where he was sadly placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a wonderful foster family stepped in to save him, and we're so glad they did, because Grover is pure perfection! He's a medium-sized boy, around 48 pounds, with an old soul. Vets estimate he's between 2-3 years old, definitely not older than 3. Grover is the very definition of chill and loves spending time with his people. He's happiest when he can be part of the action, whether that's hanging out in the backyard, joining you for a walk, or napping on the coziest spot in the house. He enjoys exploring but isn't a high-energy athlete; a few daily walks and quality time with his family are all he needs. His foster family even has a farm, and Grover always stays close by, proving he's great off-leash as well as on. He's fully house-trained, has excellent house manners, settles nicely indoors, and isn't destructive. He enjoys a comfy bed after a day of adventures. Grover is a gentle, friendly boy who quickly wins over people and animals with his charming personality. He's not a big barker and has a lower energy level, making him a true unicorn! Grover is finishing up heartworm treatment and will be ready for his new home in July. He is truly the easiest, most loving guy around, and whoever adopts him will be hitting the rescue dog jackpot!
Ideal Home
An ideal home for Grover would include lots of affection, a soft place to sleep, and people who enjoy having a devoted canine companion by their side. He can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up for belly rubs.
Ongoing Health
Grover is currently finishing up heartworm treatment. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and on prevention.
Training & Support
Grover is fully house-trained and has excellent house manners. He settles nicely indoors, gets along with everyone he has met, and isn't destructive.
