Pluto

Pluto is a sweet 8-1/5-year-old Schnauzer who weighs about 14 lbs. He's a charming boy who will blossom with a patient and understanding family. Pluto needs a home that recognizes he may take some time to build trust, but once he does, he's a wonderful companion. He enjoys ear and back scratches and will happily lean in for affection once he feels secure. Pluto is also a social butterfly with other dogs and would do best in a home with at least one other canine friend his size or smaller. He's a playful pup who enjoys a game of "catch me if you can" when it's time for a vet visit or a ride. Pluto can be a little hesitant about going outside, but his foster family has found a fun way to encourage him: they make a game of "hiding" behind the glass patio door, and he'll zoom past and into the yard! One thing Pluto isn't fond of is grooming, so a low-maintenance approach to "mani-pedis" would be ideal.

Ideal Home

Pluto needs a patient and loving home that understands he may take time to trust. He would thrive with at least one other small or similarly sized dog. He is not suited for homes with large breed dogs.

Ongoing Health

Pluto is up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee includes his spay/neuter.

Training & Support

Pluto can be hesitant about going outside and may need encouragement. He also dislikes grooming.
