Barkus Aurelius Roman, or Aurelio as he's affectionately known, is a charming 4-month-old Pit Bull Terrier and Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as his regal name suggests. He's a goofy and affectionate puppy who dreams of finding his forever kingdom. Aurelio's striking looks, with his creamy tan coat and mesmerizing icy blue eyes, are sure to turn heads. He's the perfect gentleman, happiest when he's with his people, whether that's wrestling with his sisters, enjoying belly rubs, or snuggling up for a cuddle. He’s eager to be part of every adventure!
Ideal Home
Aurelio thrives on routine and would do well in a home that can provide consistency and positive reinforcement. While he's learning not to jump when excited, he hasn't been introduced to cats or young children yet, so slow and supervised introductions are recommended.
Ongoing Health
Aurelio is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP vaccinations with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been heartworm tested and treated if necessary, and microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Aurelio is making excellent progress with crate and potty training, and is learning valuable lessons in patience and impulse control. He is highly food-motivated, making training a rewarding experience. He has been introduced to basic commands like "lay," "stay," and "paw," and picks them up quickly. Continued consistency, positive reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement will help him continue to blossom.

Aurelio is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
