Jerry

Jerry is a goofy, energetic little dude with tons of love to give! He's a perfect walker on the leash and enjoys car rides, even to the vet. Jerry adores people of all ages and is friendly with strangers. He loves playing with other dogs, especially tug-of-war, and enjoys chasing squirrels in the yard. While he tolerates crating for short periods, he's doing wonderfully when gated in the kitchen and has shown no destructive behavior. Jerry is house-trained, calm when left alone, and knows some cool tricks like "come," "down," and "fetch." He's sure to bring lots of fun and companionship to his new home!

Ideal Home

Jerry requires another compatible dog in the home to keep him company and for playtime. Children in the home must be respectful of a dog's boundaries. Jerry cannot live with cats or other small animals. He needs a home with a fully secured fenced yard, and apartments are not suitable for him.

Ongoing Health

Jerry received a Pro Heart 12 injection on December 8, 2024, which provides 12 months of heartworm protection. He will need monthly Nexgard for flea and tick prevention until November 2025. In December 2025, he will require a new prescription for Nexgard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for ongoing year-round preventative treatment.

Training & Support

Jerry can be a bit squirmy during grooming and nail trims but is generally tolerant. He's learning to be more comfortable when left alone and is doing well when confined to the kitchen. Continued positive reinforcement and enrichment activities, like interactive play, will help him thrive.
