Leia - URGENT

Leia is a sweet 2-year-old German Shepherd who is urgently in need of a foster or adoptive home. She is currently at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter and is at risk of euthanasia due to an upper respiratory infection. Leia needs a safe and quiet place to recover as soon as possible.

Ideal Home

Leia would do best in a home where she can rest and recuperate. As she is recovering from an illness, a calm environment is ideal.

Ongoing Health

Leia is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection. She will need continued care and monitoring to ensure a full recovery.

Training & Support

Leia is not house-trained. Further guidance and patience will be needed to help her adjust and learn.

Transportation

Leia is located at Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter. Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) can arrange transportation if you are on the West Coast. Adopters are responsible for any transport fees. Fosters must live in Kern County.
