Hi there! My name is Oslo, and I'm a handsome little Dachshund mix with a whole lot of love to give. I'm just a puppy, about 2.5 months old as of July 5, 2026, and I currently weigh 10.2 lbs. I recently made the journey from a shelter in Puerto Rico, and now I'm ready to find my forever home in the DC area! I'm part of a litter of five, and we've all been exploring and playing together. I'm looking for a home where I can get my zoomies out, play with all sorts of fun toys, and get plenty of cuddles in between. I also can't wait to go on lots of walks and make some new doggy friends!
Ideal Home
I'm a puppy, so I'll need someone who can provide multiple potty breaks and exercise sessions throughout the day. If you have an 8-hour workday, please be prepared to make arrangements to ensure I get the attention and care I need. I'm eager to make doggie friends, so a home where I can socialize with other dogs would be great!
Ongoing Health
I've had my age-appropriate vaccinations, but I'm not yet fully vaccinated. It's your responsibility to ensure I receive the rest of my puppy vaccines on schedule. Until I'm fully vaccinated, I'll be at a higher risk for illness than an adult dog. I also haven't been spayed or neutered yet. As part of my adoption contract, this must be done no later than October 17, 2026, with no exceptions or extensions. You can choose to have Wags cover this cost at one of our low-cost partner vets by paying a non-refundable spay/neuter deposit.
Training & Support
I'll need some work on my house training and will benefit greatly from attending puppy obedience classes. This will help me grow into a well-socialized and smart companion!
