Benny

Benny is an 8-month-old, 26-pound cattle dog mix who got a second chance after being rescued from the streets of South Texas. Since then, he's been learning what it's like to be safe, loved, and part of a family—and he's absolutely blossoming. Benny is incredibly smart, food motivated, and forms deep bonds with those he trusts. Because of his difficult start in life, he can be a little reserved with new people, but with patience and gentle introductions, his confidence continues to grow every day. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a heart full of love and so much potential, Benny is ready to meet you.

Ideal Home

Benny would thrive in a quieter home with a predictable routine. He would do well with older children or adults who are willing to continue building on the amazing progress he's already made. He could be happy as an only dog or with a calm, playful canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Benny is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and tested negative for heartworm (4DX negative).

Training & Support

Benny is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He enjoys learning and is happy when solving food puzzles. He is lower-energy for a cattle dog puppy and is happiest when he's learning, enjoying a walk, or snuggling with his favorite people.
