Meet Oreo! This sweet 7-year-old lady is a survivor with a heart full of love to give. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston, but thankfully, a foster stepped up just in the nick of time to save her. Now, Oreo is ready to embark on her next great adventure – finding her forever home!

Oreo is the ultimate co-pilot, loving car rides and eagerly awaiting the next adventure. She's a well-trained girl who is house-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy and calm companionship, enjoying bursts of zoomies in the yard but also content to lounge nearby. Her gentle nature shines through, and she'll happily flop over for belly rubs at any opportunity.

Ideal Home

Oreo would thrive in a variety of homes. She currently lives with dogs and cats and gets along well with them, though she prefers calm companions and isn’t a fan of overly energetic dogs. Her ideal evening involves a relaxed walk followed by cozy couch time with her person.

Ongoing Health

Oreo is a healthy, middle-aged gal. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is on prevention, and is heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Oreo is house-trained and walks well on a leash. She has a gentle, loving nature and is described as a refined lady who is past her party days.

Transporation

Oreo is being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available for adoption in many locations across the country. The adoption fee of $600 includes transport.
