Lucy is a sweet, 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog mix who is ready to find her forever home! She came to us from a situation where she was living on a chain, but thankfully, her previous owner allowed us to have her spayed. After her surgery, we were able to bring her into our care and now she's thriving in a foster home with other dogs, learning all about love and belonging.
Lucy is a beautiful Blue Heeler with a heart of gold. She's loyal, intelligent, and observant, though she can be a little bossy with other dogs. Overall, she's pretty mellow and easy-going, and she absolutely loves affection without being needy. She's a champion at fetch and has shown no interest in cats so far. She's a little unsure around small dogs, but we're working on that! Lucy walks nicely on a leash in public and is a great car rider.
Ideal Home
Lucy would do best with a family familiar with herding breeds. She is a bit timid with new people and needs some time to warm up. Her typical Heeler traits include supervising everyone, following her people from room to room, and a classic dramatic side-eye!
Ongoing Health
Lucy has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on all her vaccines and preventions. She is currently healthy.
Training & Support
Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be near you!), and leash trained. She can be a little bossy with some dogs and may nip at their heels if she doesn't like them – a classic Heeler move! She also exhibits some unusual behavior around small dogs.

Transporation
Lucy is currently in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome, and private transport with K9 Delivery LLC can be arranged for an additional $200 (which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area).
