Niko Bear looks like he belongs on the big screen, with his ruggedly handsome face and scars that hint at a life of adventure. But don't let that tough exterior fool you – underneath it all, he's a big, sweet teddy bear with a heart of gold. He's about 4 years old, weighs around 74 lbs, and is likely a Pittie/Shepherd mix. Niko has a calm, easygoing nature and is perfectly content to mosey through life at his own pace. He's a gentle giant who enjoys leaning into his people for affection and is very thoughtful when meeting new people.
Niko Bear is dog-friendly and has gotten along well with all the dogs he's met, from confident males to easygoing companions. He enjoys peaceful coexistence and occasional "lazy mouthy play" with other dogs. He also met a cat and was very respectful, showing no signs of chasing or aggression. We can arrange a sleepover with a cat if you have one in your home. Niko is potty-trained and has excellent house manners, though he's still building confidence with crate training. He's not destructive and has a relaxed energy, making him a great work-from-home buddy or backyard companion. He would be happiest in a home with a backyard.
Ideal Home
A home with a backyard would be ideal for Niko, as he enjoys moseying around outside at his own pace. He would do best with another dog that shares his mellow outlook on life.
Ongoing Health
Niko Bear is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. He is microchipped and will have a health certificate deeming him healthy for travel.
Training & Support
Niko is potty-trained and has wonderful house manners. He is still building confidence with crate training and working on leash skills, but he's improving daily.
