Harrison

Harrison is a handsome, sweet-natured 10-month-old German Shepherd mix with a playful spirit! He arrived at our rescue when his previous owners, who were in the service, were reassigned and found themselves without the time or experience to raise a young puppy. Harrison loves romping with other dogs and brings an enthusiastic energy to every play session. He's thriving in his foster home and is already showing what a loving and affectionate companion he can be.

Ideal Home

Harrison can be a bit shy when meeting new people, so he would do best in a calmer home without a lot of unfamiliar visitors. He will truly flourish with an adopter who understands the German Shepherd breed and can provide the structure, routine, and guidance a growing teen needs. Prior experience with German Shepherds or similar breeds is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Harrison is up-to-date on his age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Like all German Shepherds and herding breeds, Harrison will need continued training, consistency, boundaries, and plenty of activity and socialization to be a well-balanced, well-behaved dog. A good routine with consistent walks, positive socialization, and clear leadership will help him continue to build confidence and develop into a well-rounded adult. Remember, even with daily exercise in a fenced yard, daily walks and outings are crucial for mental stimulation and practicing leash skills and manners.
