Meet Hassie!
Hassie is a 2-year-old, 41lb bundle of joy who will happily convince you she's ready for every adventure you have planned. But don't be fooled by her adventurous spirit – she'll also be the first one curled up beside you on the couch afterward! She's got all the traits people love about cattle dogs – smart, loyal, and always happy to be with her people – with a surprise twist: she's more of a professional cuddle buddy than a workaholic. Hassie's story almost ended before it really began. She found herself in a North Texas shelter, but thankfully, a rescue stepped in and gave her the second chance she deserved. She's dog-friendly, crate trained, and potty trained, always up for tagging along on hikes, road trips, patio lunches, or wherever life takes you. When the fun is over, she's perfectly content to spend the rest of the day relaxing by your side.
Ideal Home
Hassie has natural herding instincts and can be a little too enthusiastic about trying to organize fast-moving little humans. Because of that, she'd be happiest in a home with older children or adults who understand and appreciate the quirks that make her breed so special. She is also looking for a cat-free home, as cats are a hard pass for this girl.
Ongoing Health
Hassie is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Hassie is crate trained and potty trained. She has natural herding instincts and may try to herd small children.

Transporation
Hassie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but she is available for adoption and transport to many areas across the country. Her $600 adoption fee includes transport. If you're seeing her profile, there's a good chance we have a transport stop near you!
