BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, affectionate Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix who loves people, cuddling, playtime, fetch, and outdoor adventures. This big, sweet boy is currently in foster care after being rescued from animal control and is ready for a loving forever home.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along well with dogs, especially female dogs, and has fostered successfully with young children, though older children may be a better fit because he does not always realize his size. A home without cats or chickens is recommended, as he is curious about them. He would enjoy an active family and opportunities to explore, followed by relaxing together.

Ongoing Health

• Neutered and microchipped
• Current on all vaccines
• On Credelio for flea and tick prevention
• On Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention
• A full veterinary checkup and health certificate are planned before travel
• His low-shedding, scruffy coat is suited to cooler weather

• Learning to walk on a leash
• Not destructive and generally not a chewer
• Enjoys baths, squeaky toys, fetch, and drinking from the garden hose
