Pretty Penny

Penny is an adorable, quirky little girl, about 18 months old, who was found terrified and alone in the middle of a busy street. Despite her rough start, she's blossomed into a loving and playful companion. Her unique markings resemble a tigress, and her beautiful heart shines through her big brown eyes. Penny loves to be around people and has a special yoga pose called the "sploot," where she lays with her back legs stretched out and scooches backward. She also has a distinctive "howl-coo" sound that she uses to communicate her thoughts. While she's a toy destroyer and needs sturdy chew toys, she's incredibly trusting, even rolling onto her back to show her belly.

Ideal Home

Penny would thrive in a home with another canine friend to play with, but she's equally happy to be wherever her humans are, curled up by your side.

Ongoing Health

Penny tested heartworm positive but has completed doxy treatment and has been on monthly heartgard since January 2023. She is spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Penny is a toy destroyer and will need durable, heavy-duty chew toys to prevent her from shredding them. She is good with other dogs of all sizes and loves to be around people.

Transporation

Penny is currently being fostered in Houston, TX. She is available for transport to Austin or out of state. Please note that transport to the New England area has been temporarily suspended due to an unknown respiratory illness affecting dogs in that region.
