About Comet Good Shepherd

Comet is a 4-month-old German Shepherd pup with a striking black coat, tan paws, and a charming little white spot on his chest and chin. He's the more reserved one in his litter, taking his time to observe new people and places. Comet arrived from the Galveston shelter and has been in a foster home learning about safety, love, and routine. He's a quiet observer at first, but once he feels secure, his gentle and affectionate nature truly shines. He enjoys being close to his person and snuggling up.

Ideal Home

Comet will thrive in a home that provides patience, consistency, and a gentle approach. He needs a family that understands that strong bonds take time to build.

Ongoing Health

Comet is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He has received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments and flea prevention. He is also on a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable and has had a heartworm test. He is microchipped with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Comet is kennel trained and sleeps through the night. He's doing well adjusting to home life and has settled into a good routine. He's learning to improve his occasional barking when excited about food and treats. While he's making progress with corrections, he's still learning how to best respond to them.
