Nora is a 2-year-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 32 pounds. She has a beautiful caramel-colored coat and an endless love for life! Nora is extremely social and gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, men, and women. She is full of energy and happiness, loving to run, play, and stay active all day long. Nora's story began in Houston, where she and her sisters were found as tiny 3-month-old puppies struggling to survive on the streets. Tragically, two of her sisters were killed before help arrived. Nora and one surviving sister were rescued just in time and given the chance at a safe and loving life. Despite her difficult start, Nora has grown into a joyful, affectionate, and playful dog who is ready to leave the past behind and find a forever family of her own.
Ideal Home
Nora would thrive with a family that enjoys outdoor activities and can give her plenty of playtime and attention. She needs a home with a fenced backyard. Families should have an open conscience about the rescue of street animals and their need for protection and education, with experience in dog behavior and training, and high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Nora has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested for heartworm. She comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Nora is not house-trained. The rescue invests significant time and resources into the health and emotional rehabilitation of their rescued pets, and they are unable to house-train each one individually. Adopters should be prepared to provide ongoing training and patience.
