Vega

Hi there, I'm Vega, a 6-year-old, 70-pound brindle and white Boxer mix looking for my forever home! I'm an extremely loving, smart, and adventurous boy who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. I'm also very eager to please, especially if treats are involved! I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm ready for my next adventure. My foster mom says I have a ton of drive and would be amazing at dog sports because I love to work! I'm a loyal companion who bonds quickly and can't wait to make friends. I love being petted and cuddled, and I'm a relatively quiet pup who calms down well when my exercise needs are met.

Ideal Home

I need an active owner who can keep up with me and take me on adventures – I'm no couch potato! I'm dog selective, so I'll need slow intros to any potential canine friends. Due to my high prey drive, I should not be around cats or other small animals. I do well with kids, but older children are best due to my size and energy.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I can be crate reactive and have some barrier frustration, but I'm learning and improving every day! I also need more work on leash training as I tend to pull hard. Tools like a gentle leader may help me learn to walk nicely on leash.
