Meet Ziva! This beautiful 3-year-old, 80-pound Rottweiler is ready to find her forever home. Ziva's world was turned upside down when her owner passed away. She ended up living outside for weeks, relying on the kindness of neighbors for food and company. Thankfully, she's now in a loving foster home, safe and sound. Ziva is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and eager to share her sweet, albeit initially reserved, personality with her new family. She's a "slow burn," meaning she needs time to build trust, but the rewards of her affection are absolutely worth the wait! Once she feels comfortable, Ziva is a wonderful companion who enjoys snuggling and car rides.
Ideal Home
Ziva would do best with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for a slow acclimation period. She would thrive in a home without children, as she needs time to warm up to people and can be sensitive about her tail and ears being touched. While she is cat-friendly and has lived with multiple cats without issue, she would prefer a home without other dogs or with an owner experienced in slow, careful introductions.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Ziva is fully potty trained and free-roams the house successfully. She may benefit from some leash training, as she can be a puller, and is reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks. Ziva exhibits resource guarding and should be fed separately from other animals. She needs a patient owner who will respect her boundaries, especially around her tail.
