Squeak is a 1-year-old pit mix with a striking red/chestnut/orange coat, stunning hazel eyes, and legs that go on for days! This handsome boy is full of energy, love, and potential. He was found as a stray and while he had some injuries that have healed beautifully, he is now ready for a fresh start. Squeak was understandably scared when he was first rescued, but he has blossomed into a playful, affectionate companion. He can be a bit shy with new people, so slow introductions are key, but once he knows you, he'll shower you with love, excitement, and loyalty. He loves being by your side, whether it's helping in the yard, playing with dog friends, or cuddling at the end of the day. He has a great time playing and socializing with other dogs and thrives in playgroups, getting along with most dogs and matching their energy levels. He’s best suited for a household with a playful, energetic dog and a stable routine, as he can get easily excited and a bit jumpy at times. While Squeak's high-energy personality might not make him the best fit for families with young kids, older kids who can handle his enthusiastic nature would likely enjoy his playful antics. Squeak loves to be active, running around, chasing balls, and finding sticks to carry around. After a fun day of adventures, he will curl up beside you for all the cuddles you need. He is learning to associate his crate with treats and is showing good self-control, especially when waiting for high-value treats. He is a smart boy and would thrive in an environment where he can continue to learn and grow, particularly with activities like agility training. He is an eager student who loves bonding with his people.
