About Dahlia Daisy Flower the MINI Lab

Dahlia Daisy Flower is a delightful 10-month-old "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as sweet and delicate as her floral namesake. Currently weighing around 35 pounds, she's expected to reach a petite adult size of 40-45 pounds. Dahlia is a morning person, ready for potty breaks and zoomies after a restful night in her crate. She’s a near-perfect leash walker, only occasionally distracted by a squirrel. She loves adventures, whether it's exploring trails, visiting parks, or even jumping into a creek. Dahlia is a social butterfly with other dogs, greeting them all with enthusiasm. While she's a bit shy with new people, she warms up quickly and is incredibly sweet. She'd make an excellent camping companion for those sunny PNW summers!

During the workday, Dahlia is a quiet and cozy companion, napping by her foster mom's side and enjoying play breaks with the four other dogs in the home. She lives harmoniously with two small female dogs, one medium male, and a large female, though smaller dogs should be able to set their own boundaries with her. Dahlia's favorite pastimes include tossing pinecones and carrying around big sticks.

Ideal Home

Dahlia would thrive in an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, ideally with another playful dog. She could do well in a dog-friendly apartment or condo as long as her exercise needs are met. Homes with shared walls should consider her initial crying in the crate when left alone. While not yet tested with cats or children, she is expected to do well with respectful children 8 and up.

Ongoing Health

Dahlia is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Dahlia is house and crate trained, though she will initially cry when left alone in her crate, eventually settling down. This is something that will need to be re-established in her new home. While she settles well in her crate at night, she would eventually love to sleep with her humans.
