Hida

Meet Hida! This sweet 14-year-old Miniature Poodle weighs just 9 pounds, but her gentle spirit is larger than life. Hida has been through quite a journey, arriving as a stray covered in mats and oil. She's been receiving wonderful care and is blossoming into the soft, peaceful little companion she was always meant to be. Hida is completely blind and mostly deaf, but she navigates her world beautifully with a consistent routine and a little guidance. She is house-trained, kennel-trained, and very polite. With her calm, low-energy personality, Hida would thrive in a quiet environment where she can enjoy naps and feel safe. She is incredibly sweet and accepting of being held, though she's not overly demanding – she enjoys occasional cuddles but is perfectly content snoozing nearby. Hida is mostly quiet and not much of a barker. She likes meeting new people, gets along well with other dogs, and doesn't pay any attention to cats.

Ideal Home

Hida would do best in a loving home that understands the special beauty of a senior dog and can provide a predictable routine. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

Hida is up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Training & Support

Hida is house-trained and kennel-trained. She navigates her world with a consistent routine and a little guidance from her people.

• All adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check, and final contract.
• Adoption fees are variable and include up-to-date vaccines, microchip, and spay/neuter.
• Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a representative to set up a meet and greet.
• We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.

Hida is located in our rescue and transport may be available.
