Duffy is a tiny, shy gentleman who recently arrived looking less like a dog and more like an abandoned mop with eyes. This poor guy was so severely matted and dirty that his makeover took several days. We're pretty sure he lost three pounds in fur alone! The mats were tight, painful, and clearly the result of a lifetime without proper grooming, so understandably, Duffy approached the whole spa experience like he had been personally selected for a very confusing reality show. Despite being absolutely terrified, Duffy tried his best through it all, and underneath all that fluff and fear is an incredibly sweet little soul. Right now, he's still learning that humans can actually be nice and that not every new experience is a trap. He's the kind of dog who will need time to decompress, settle in, and realize that soft beds, snacks, and kindness are now part of his daily routine. Will Duffy be the guy hosting backyard parties and greeting strangers at the door? Probably not. Will he become your tiny, devoted shadow who loves you with his whole heart once he feels safe? Absolutely. Dogs like Duffy don't hand out trust easily, but when they do, it's the really special kind.

Duffy is looking for a patient family willing to let him blossom at his own pace. He's not the type to greet strangers at the door, but he will become your devoted shadow once he feels safe.

Duffy has had a full groom to address severe matting and dirt. He is neutered and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Duffy is still learning to trust humans and that new experiences aren't a trap. He will need time to decompress and settle into a routine of kindness, soft beds, and snacks.
