Meet Angus: Your Future Gentle (and Slightly Chaotic) Giant!

Angus is a 6-month-old, 60+ lb Bullmastiff Mix looking for his forever home. He was found wandering near a creek and brought to the Hico Animal Shelter, where he has been vetted, loved, and is now ready for his next adventure. Angus is a big, goofy toddler in a giant body, still learning how to navigate the world with his size and enthusiasm. He's eager to play and explore, and is still working on his leash manners, sometimes viewing the leash as a fun chew toy. Due to his size and puppy energy, he'd do best in an active home with older children and would not be a good fit for cats. He is doggie-door trained and mostly housebroken, but may need a little patience in a new environment. Angus loves car rides, but will need proper restraint to avoid being a "co-pilot disruptor"!

Ideal Home

Angus would thrive in an active household with older children and a well-fenced yard. He is too much energy for feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Angus is healthy and happy. He has been neutered, is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccines, is heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on all preventatives.

Training & Support

Angus is still learning leash walking and how to manage his exuberance around other dogs. He is doggie-door trained and mostly housebroken, but may need some reinforcement in a new home. He will need proper restraint in vehicles.
