REX, a.k.a Rexie the Bestie, a volunteer FAV

Meet Rex, a.k.a. Rexie the Bestie! This handsome 68lb Black Lab mix, with an estimated birthday in September 2020, is a bubbly and outgoing guy who is an absolute favorite of our volunteers. Rex loves to run and play, will happily sit for a treat, and cherishes time spent with his people. He thrives on validation and is guaranteed to shower you with kisses 24/7. Despite his nearly 70lb frame, Rex is a total snuggler who thinks he's a lap dog!

Rex was rescued as a stray and has had a tough start to life, having been betrayed by those who were supposed to protect him. Now, he's ready to share all the love he has with his forever person or people. He has attended several adoption events, including an Astros watch party at a local bar and dinners at dog-friendly restaurants with his best buddy Bambi, where he was incredibly sweet and enjoyed all the attention.

Ideal Home

Rex is a dog who enjoys company and would likely do well in a home that can provide him with plenty of interaction and affection.

Rex is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is dog selective, being friendly with females and requiring proper introductions to other dogs. He's also eligible for discounted training programs with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training.

Transportation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included, with pickup locations potentially varying in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and receive updates.
