Needs to be spayed/neutered by (September 30, 2026), period.

Foster to adopt family will contact Grass Roots Rescue at around 4.5 months to schedule this appointment with one of the clinics we work with in the state of Delaware.
Keeping the appointment is a condition of adoption. Foster to adopters must live within 1 hour of DE and be willing to travel here for the pending appointment.

Asterid is a bundle of energy! She is bold, energetic and loves to explore. She is very smart and becoming independent but loves to snuggle when she is ready to settle down. She is still teething so needs to have appropriate chew toys available under supervision.
Important Information About Puppies:
Puppies need to be let out for potty breaks approximately every 4 hours. If there isn't someone home during the day, then you will need a plan to make sure they get a mid-day break.
Puppies are blank slates and require training, including housebreaking. Adopters need to be prepared to provide this training along with appropriate socialization to help give them the best chance at becoming well-behaved and happy grown dogs.
Puppies should always be supervised when interacting with children and other animals. Puppies are fragile and a mishap could be fatal for them. They are also teething and getting to know their world, and boundaries, with their mouth. They have to be taught what appropriate chew toys are.
