Rocky

Meet Rocky, also known as Rock Rock! This handsome boy is a house and crate-trained pro who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is even okay with feline friends. Rocky is a breeze during baths and car rides, and he knows how to sit, taking treats politely. He has no issues with food or toy aggression. Rocky was adopted previously and lived happily for several months but was returned due to protecting his home. He can be wary of strangers entering his yard or home and needs a calm, proper introduction outside the house first, followed by an introduction inside or he can simply be settled in another room. He was very loving towards his previous adopters and has shown no problems meeting new people here at the shelter.

Ideal Home

Rocky's perfect home would include a canine companion to share his days with and a guardian who is experienced with larger breeds. He thrives when given the space and introductions he needs to feel secure.

Rocky is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Rocky is a smart boy who knows "sit" and is eager to please. The main thing to focus on is his protectiveness of his home and people. Proper introductions to new people outside the home first, then inside, or giving him space in another room will help him feel more secure and less protective. With patience and understanding, Rocky is sure to blossom into an even more confident and relaxed companion.
