About Bandit AW

Hi there! My name is Bandit, and I'm a female German Shepherd with a touch of Husky mixed in, making me extra special! I was born on July 21, 2025, and at the beginning of March, I weighed a strong 71 pounds. I'm already a big girl and still growing into my paws! I was a perfect patient during my spay and microchip procedure and took all my medicine like a champ, especially when it was hidden in tasty wet food.

Like most young shepherds, I'm full of energy and excitement. I would love an active family that enjoys playtime and being outdoors. I love chasing a ball, chewing on bones, and playing with my siblings. My best friend is a Great Dane, so I can definitely keep up with the big dogs! Stuffed toys don't last long with me; my favorite game is seeing how fast I can remove the stuffing and make it look like it snowed! I'm a total sweetheart when it comes to people. I love to snuggle with my foster parents and happily give kisses. Rub my chest or belly, and I'll melt right into your lap. I'm also great with the foster grandkids, ages 4 and 8. Sometimes I get a little excited and accidentally knock the little ones over, but I always apologize with lots of kisses! My foster parents even had DNA tests done on my parents: my mom is 100% German Shepherd, and my dad is 81% German Shepherd and 19% Husky, which explains my beautiful looks.

Ideal Home

An active family that enjoys playtime and being outdoors. I can keep up with big dogs and would likely do well in a home with them. I am great with children but can sometimes get a little excited and accidentally knock over younger ones. I am not sure how I would do with a friendly feline, as the cat in my current home prefers to keep her distance.

Ongoing Health

I am spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines and preventions.

Training & Support

I am house trained and use a doggy door. I am not crate trained yet, but my foster family is working with me on leash training and getting more comfortable meeting new people. I can be a little reserved at first, but with patience, encouragement, and a few treats, I warm up quickly.
