About Odin

I'm Odin—and I'm here to tell my story, not because it’s easy, but because I’m still holding out hope that someone will see the real me. I came from a truly horrible situation. When I was rescued, my skin was so bad that my eyes were crusted shut and my body was covered in scales. My “owner” admitted he never cleaned my kennel. He said he put me outside because I had an accident in the house and he “didn’t have time for that.” When it came time to surrender me, he refused to bring me in—telling a volunteer to go get me or he’d just shoot me. From the way I was treated, it’s clear they tried to force me into a life I never wanted—trained to be a guard dog, pushed to fight. But here’s the truth: that’s not who I am. Here’s who I really am today: a survivor with a gentle, forgiving spirit, the perfect adult—the perfect mix of maturity and playfulness, heartworm negative and finally getting healthy, dog friendly—I enjoy having furry friends, and ready for a family who will love me for me. I may carry the scars of my past, but my heart is still wide open. I want nothing more than a family who will give me safety, patience, and the love I’ve been denied for so long. If you’re searching for a loyal, resilient companion who has survived the worst yet still believes in love, I’m here, waiting.
