Meet Captain!

Captain is a playful, goofy boy who knows how to make every day a little more fun. Whether he's chasing after a toy, playing tug-of-war, or soaking up attention from his favorite people, Captain is happiest when he's spending time with friends and having a good time.

This affectionate guy already knows sit and down, and he's always eager to join in on whatever adventure comes next. Captain loves a good game of fetch and has recently discovered kiddie pools. While he's not quite ready to dive in headfirst, he's definitely curious and seems to enjoy splashing around as he builds his confidence.

Captain comes from the Ironwood State Prison Dog Foster Program. This unique program provides meaningful connections between dogs and incarcerated men while helping prepare dogs for successful adoption. During his time in the program, Captain practiced important skills such as leash walking, crate training, and good household manners, helping him become the wonderful companion he is today.
