Ozzy

Ozzy is a handsome Great Pyrenees mix, 2 years old, and weighs 85 lbs. He is fully vetted and microchipped and is ready to find his forever home! Ozzy is most content in a quiet environment where he isn't overstimulated by busy roads, frequent foot traffic, or close neighbors. He enjoys car rides and walks well on a leash with a gentle leader. He gets along with other dogs he knows and loves to play with them. When the weather is pleasant, Ozzy enjoys spending time outside, observing his surroundings, and chewing on his favorite elk antlers. He also loves to play with his toys! While Ozzy is affectionate and loving, he does possess the independent nature of his breed, which his future family should understand. He can be a bit reserved with new people as he takes his time to assess his environment.

Ideal Home

Ozzy would thrive in a rural or quiet suburban setting with minimal stimulation. He needs a home with a securely fenced yard (no invisible fences). Because he can be aloof with new people and needs a calm environment, a home with no children under the age of 16 is preferred. We also recommend no cats for Ozzy, as his comfort level with them is unknown.

Training & Support

Ozzy is working on his food bowl aggression and has shown significant improvement with consistent training. His new family should be mindful of this, especially if another dog is in the home, and continue with positive reinforcement. He does gently take food from your hand.
