Dottie

Dottie is a delightful 4-year-old, 62-pound female ready to bring joy and cuddles to your life! She's a loyal and goofy companion with a big personality that's sure to make you laugh. Dottie loves to play, especially with rope toys and stuffies, and is a champion at tug-of-war. When she's not romping around, she's a total cuddle bug who just wants to be by your side. She's incredibly intelligent and food-motivated, which makes her a quick learner when it comes to training.

Ideal Home

Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home that can provide at least one good walk or play session a day. She gets along well with other dogs, particularly calm, larger dogs, and can also be happy as the only pet. She is also friendly with cats. However, Dottie has a specific concern: she experiences fear and anxiety around younger males. She is great with adult men and women, but would do best in a home without young boys or teenage males.

Ongoing Health

Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Dottie is fully potty trained and crate trained, and she settles well when left to free roam. While she walks calmly on leash, she does tend to pull and bark when she sees other dogs. She is eager to please and learns quickly with treats, making training a rewarding experience.

Transporation

Dottie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX, and is available for virtual meet & greets. She is eligible for transport to an adopter once an arrangement is in place.
