Astro (27lb)

Meet Astro, a spirited 2-year-old Heeler mix who weighs in at about 25 pounds! Astro was found all by himself in a tough neighborhood in Texas. Thankfully, a Kind Spirits volunteer stepped in and took him into her foster home, where he's been living with many other dogs and learning the ropes. He's now fully vetted, has a clearer understanding of his wonderful personality, and is ready to find his very own family to shower with love!

Astro is an eager-to-please pup who is already house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He thrives on positive reinforcement and is highly motivated by food, toys, and treats, making him a joy to train. He loves to be your number one companion and is happy to settle down for quiet cuddles after a day of fun.

Ideal Home

Astro would love a home where he can be the center of attention. Due to a slight "little man" complex, he may occasionally nip at male dogs when competing for treats or attention. This is something to be mindful of in a multi-dog household.

Training & Support

Astro is a smart boy with a lot of great training already in place. With his eagerness to please and high motivation for rewards, continuing his positive reinforcement training will be a breeze. Be aware of his "little man" complex, especially around male dogs when treats are involved, and manage his interactions accordingly.

Transporation

Astro is currently located in Texas. We welcome out-of-state adopters and can arrange private transport through K9 Delivery LLC for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
