Rusty

Rusty is a sweet and resilient terrier mix who is deaf and blind, but this doesn't stop him from enjoying life to the fullest! He's mastered the doggie door and uses it independently. Rusty prefers not to be crated and is happy sleeping in his own dog bed at the foot of his foster mom's bed, though he wouldn't mind a human bed if offered! He has a charming little prance when he walks and appreciates a little help with jumping up or down from furniture.

Ideal Home

Rusty would do well in a home with another dog who can help guide him, as he often follows their lead. He needs a patient owner who will be mindful of his presence, as he may sometimes walk in front of or bump into people.

Rusty is deaf and blind. He struggles a bit when jumping down from furniture and needs assistance with this.

Training & Support

Rusty is generally quiet and enjoys affection, though not for extended periods. He tolerates brushing and grooming well. His nail clipping situation is unknown. He will need patience as he navigates his world and will undoubtedly warm your heart.
