About Hoot

Meet Hoot! This fun-loving, active pup was born in December 2024 and is ready to bring joy to his new family. Hoot loves spending time outdoors, playing fetch, and would absolutely adore having a canine companion to share his adventures with. He settles in nicely at night, often choosing to sleep right beside his foster's bed. Hoot has been accident-free in his foster home, is crate trained, and has even earned free-roam privileges, proving what a good boy he is! He walks well on a leash and is just beginning his basic obedience training. Hoot gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful friend, and he is also okay with cats, though he can be a bit curious. He was found abandoned but is now learning what safety, stability, and love feel like, and he's eager to find a forever family to continue his journey with.

Ideal Home

Hoot would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of outdoor time and play sessions. A playful canine companion would be ideal for him. He also needs a patient adopter who understands he can be a little shy and skittish if approached too quickly, and may be stand-offish while building trust. A secure fenced yard and continued leash or harness use in public will help him feel safe as he continues gaining confidence.

Ongoing Health

Hoot is up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventative care. A health exam will be completed by a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption.

Training & Support

Hoot is currently beginning his basic obedience training and walks well on a leash. He needs continued patience and consistency to build his confidence.
