Meet Beau! This brave and sweet boy has made incredible progress during his time in foster care. His fur is growing back beautifully, and he's gaining weight steadily. The initial dullness in his eyes has been replaced with a bright, happy sparkle, showing just how much he's coming out of his shell. Beau does have cysts of various sizes all over his body; some are draining and occasionally irritate him, which has temporarily impacted his adoptability. However, his veterinarian isn't overly concerned and believes they will clear up as his skin health improves. Once he's fully cleared, this wonderful boy will be ready to find his forever home.
Ideal Home
Beau would thrive in a quiet environment, away from the commotion of loud vehicles. While he's becoming more accustomed to noises like lawnmowers and tractors, sudden loud sounds (vehicles, guns, fireworks) and quick movements can still be startling for him, though he's improving daily. He's a happy, playful, and goofy guy who gets along well with humans and animals of all ages. Beau also has a bit of a stubborn streak and loves to "borrow" socks and turn tissues into confetti! He feels most comfortable indoors, where he knows he's safe. He is still a bit skittish at times due to his past experiences, and garage doors can still be a bit scary for him, sometimes causing him to retreat to a safe space.

Training & Support
Beau is an intelligent boy who clearly had some training in the past and picks up on things quickly. He was once housebroken, but will need patience and consistency to get back into a routine. The good news is that Beau is crate trained and finds comfort in his crate, even preferring to eat his meals there. He can be a bit skittish, especially with loud noises and sudden movements, and may retreat when scared. A patient and understanding family who can continue building his confidence and showing him the world is a safe place is key to his success.
