Osa means Bear in Spanish, and we think that's a perfect name for this fluffy girl with an incredible spirit. Osa and her sister, Dolly, spent the first months of their lives outside without a family, the comfort of a soft place to sleep, or understanding that humans can be good and kind. They missed out on crucial socialization and are understandably very shy and fearful around new people. Timid dogs can have a hard time finding homes because people often want an instant connection. Osa isn't that kind of dog, but her perfect people are out there! At two years old, Osa weighs around 40 pounds, which is a great size for a furry companion. While she's super shy at first, she becomes incredibly snuggly once she trusts you. Osa is silly, funny, sweet, and affectionate, and she leans into you for pets. She loves other dogs and will need a canine pal in her new home.
Ideal Home
Osa would thrive with patient people who don't have many visitors. She needs a fenced yard and cannot live in an apartment, as loud noises are too scary for her.
