Nona is a delightful 1-year-old, 50 lb spayed female Staffie mix who is a bundle of joy and playfulness. She's in her "older puppy era," growing more confident and learning to channel her happy energy. Nona is built like a sturdy tank with a short, strong frame and an adorable front-heavy build. She loves to zoom around the yard, play with toys, and greets her foster mom with enthusiastic leaps. She's sweet, loves to be near her people, and her whole body wiggles with excitement. Nona is social and enjoys meeting new friends, including a recent positive experience with a small child. She's clever, funny, and has a loving, if slightly stubborn, streak. Nona is motivated by toys and treats, making training enjoyable. She's mastered "sit" and is working on leash manners. She enjoys walks and adventures, though car rides aren't her favorite. Nona is crate-trained and doing well with potty training, needing continued reinforcement. She can be a shy watchdog and will alert to unfamiliar sights or sounds. Her underbite makes her goofy expressions even cuter! Nona is dog-friendly and enjoys playing with her foster siblings, but would do best with a canine companion who respects personal space. While she hasn't been cat or kid tested in a home, her personality suggests she'd do well in a calm environment with respectful, well-mannered children. She would thrive with a confident canine friend or be happy as your one-and-only. Nona is expected to grow into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog.
