Trapper

Trapper is a handsome 3-year-old male who arrived at Coastal in June of 2023. He's taken some time to adjust to life at the ranch after previously living in a small kennel at a kill shelter. He's now learning that dogs can enjoy open spaces and interaction with people! Trapper initially longed to play with people and other dogs but was unsure how to initiate. His dedicated volunteer friends have been instrumental in his progress, working with him on physical activities like walks and obstacle courses, as well as mental stimulation through commands. He absolutely thrives on learning commands and making his volunteers happy! After observing other dogs, Trapper has recently made some canine friends of his own, including his biggest admirer, Phoebe, a young female shepherd. He's eager to continue building his social skills and looks forward to meeting more friends.

Ideal Home

Trapper would do best in a home with someone experienced with German Shepherds. He needs a family with the time and patience to continue working with him both physically and mentally. He would love a home where he can play fetch, run, practice agility, and work on commands as much as possible. A structured schedule will help him thrive. He currently favors female canine companions, but his socialization skills are continually improving.

Ongoing Health

Trapper will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to placement.

Training & Support

Trapper is learning to master commands and enjoys the positive reinforcement he receives. He is working on his socialization skills and continuing to meet new friends.
