Grandpa Rex

Grandpa Rex is a 12-year-old gentle soul who was adopted as a puppy in 2014. His world was turned upside down when his owner was arrested, and he found himself back at the shelter. At FFF, our veterinary team discovered he has a bleeding liver mass, making him a hospice dog. This doesn't define him, but it means his time is precious. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. Grandpa Rex enjoys outings, car rides, walks, and lounging in the grass at the park. He has blossomed in a foster home, playing with toys, becoming more affectionate, and is one of the easiest dogs to care for. He is perfectly potty-trained, sleeps through the night, and takes his medications without fuss. He still enjoys life, gets around well, and is bright, alert, and engaged. He greets other dogs with cute little "ruff-ruffs."
