Greta

Greta is a sweet and gentle Labrador Mix girl, approximately 7 years old and weighing around 66 lbs. She has a loving heart and is both house-trained and crate-trained. While she can be shy and a little fearful when first meeting new people, with patience and kindness, her true, super-friendly personality blossoms. She adores having her head petted and will often offer her paw as a thank-you.

Ideal Home

Greta would thrive in a calm and peaceful home. She is an active dog who enjoys running and moving around, so a family that understands her need for both gentle reassurance and regular exercise would be perfect. A home with a fenced backyard is a must.

Ongoing Health

Greta has received a comprehensive health protocol including: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI Vaccines, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Deworming, Microchip, 4DX Test and Certificate, Heartworm test Negative Certificate, and is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra. She also has a Health Certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Greta is house-trained and crate-trained. However, it is important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period. Patience and understanding are crucial to help build trust and strengthen the bond. While the rescue does not have the capacity to house-train every pet, Greta does her business in one designated area. Families with experience in dog behavior and training are preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer is highly encouraged.

Transportation

Greta is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available through a partnered transport company. This service includes scheduled trips, comprehensive paperwork (Transport Contract, USDA Health Certificate), cross-border transport, real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group, and final home delivery with a home review. The transport fee is $400 USD.
