Macy

Macy is a sweet girl with a big heart and even bigger ears, all the way from Puerto Rico! She was rescued as a tiny baby with her sisters and has since made her way to Colorado. We have high hopes for Macy and one of them is that she never grows into those adorable ears! Macy is a bit shy and hesitant when she first meets new people, but with patience and understanding, she blossoms beautifully. She's already doing wonderfully with her foster family and her canine siblings, learning from their confidence and playfulness. A home with other dogs would be a fantastic fit for her, as she thrives in their company. We're listing her as special needs simply because of her shyness and the need for a family who will meet her at her pace. Macy absolutely loves to play and being outdoors. She's already a big fan of leash time and we can picture her being an amazing adventure partner for hikes and walks. She's making great progress with leash training, potty training, and crate training!

Ideal Home

A patient and understanding home that will give Macy the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and come out of her shell. A home with other friendly dogs would be ideal as she thrives with canine companionship.

Ongoing Health

Macy is not yet spayed and is still completing her vaccinations. She is available for Foster-to-Adopt, where you foster her until she is spayed and fully vaccinated, at which point the adoption is finalized.

Training & Support

Macy is learning leash training, potty training, and crate training. She is shy initially, so continued positive reinforcement and patience will be key to her continued confidence building.
