7928 Kira and Koda

Kira and Koda are a bonded pair of Doberman siblings who will be celebrating their third birthday this May. They arrived at DRU after a heartbreaking loss in their family, and while it was a difficult decision, their previous owner knew that bringing them to us was the loving choice to ensure they'd find a wonderful new home. Kira is the spunky one, full of energy and zest, while Koda is more laid-back and easygoing, providing a nice balance between the two. They walk well on leash individually, and have been wonderful with our staff as they settle in.

Ideal Home

Kira and Koda need a Doberman-savvy family who understands the breed's unique needs and can continue to provide them with guidance. Due to their impressive size, each weighing in at over 85 pounds, they may do best with older children who understand and respect dogs.

Ongoing Health

Koda has recently been neutered, and Kira is scheduled for her spay.

Training & Support

We have been told that Koda can be somewhat reactive to other dogs and has a high prey drive, so experienced handling will be important.
